An early 18th century pen and ink drawing in the manner of Hogarth, possibly an early sketch for an illustration for Richardson's Pamela, (British Museum number 1875,0710.5070) or perhaps a later depiction from the illustration or play, circa 1740, the drawing marked to the back 'Hogarth', 11 by 14cm, framed and glazed with label verso for S. J. Phillips, 113 New Bond Street, London W. I. written under Baer, Mr M Norton Acknowledged.

Auction: A Private Collection of Ian Fleming First Editions together with Gentleman's Antiques & Collectables, 14th Apr, 2023

A local Old Etonion has made the decision to part with a beloved collection of Ian Fleming books, which includes a number of first editions, and examples from the James Bond series to include titles such as The Golden Gun, Diamonds are Forever, Casino Royale, You Only Live Twice, together with other titles by Fleming. Also included in this auction, is a bureau from Eton which is reputedly one that Ian Fleming used in his room and of which bears residual grafitti.

Also included are a wonderful selection of 'Gentleman's' silver, militaria, antiques and collectables.
