Valuations

Stamford Auction Rooms Ltd offer free verbal valuations to all clients with goods brought to our office and saleroom in Stamford, Lincolnshire.

We are open for valuations Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm by private appointment.

Valuations can also be carried out at home, or at a specific property by arrangement.

We provide valuations by email, or by filling out our online valuation form.

Probate, Insurance and Matrimonial valuations are charged at £80+VAT per hour.

We Value:

Furniture, clocks, ceramics and glass, paintings, prints, sporting and guns, oriental items, silver and vertu, jewellery, wine and books with specialists in all collecting areas.

Probate Valuations, for the Purposes of Inheritance Tax
We charge £80 + VAT per hour, and we can provide an estimate of the total cost. You will recieve a full written valuation, whether it is an individual item or entire house contents. We are able to liaise directly with your solicitor or excecutor(s) should you wish.

Valuation for Insurance Purposes
We charge £80 + VAT per hour and can provide an estimate of total cost.
A full written valuation together with an Insurance Valuation certificate will be provided.

House Clearances
We offer a full or part house clearance service. Jessica Wall, our valuer and auctioneer will visit the property and discuss the clearance in question and this is free of charge. If you wish to proceed with the clearance, all the items suitable for auction will be listed and brought back to our salerooms and auctioned in our next suitable sale. Any items that we consider unsuitable for auction will be appropriately disposed of, usually to a local charity.

Collections

We provide an in house collection service at a rate of £80 +VAT per hour.

When a valuation has been carried out for the purpose of inheritance tax and probate has been granted, we are then able to offer a full house clearance service as above which will leave the property empty for sale.
